BCS Standings... WTF! Anyone hear Herbie go off on the VT/Oregon situation? I gotta agree with him 100%.

 

Since the BCS started, there have been two teams to make the championship game without winning their conference. I can't remember one, but Nebraska played Miami in the 2002 NC game despite the fact that they lost to Colorado, who won the conference that year. (Nebraska lost to Miami).

So... Is the problem that there's a team that didn't win their conference, or is it just that both teams will be from one conference?

I'm not a fan of the Bama fans who cling to the "we're a better team" crap after the loss to La State. We COULD have won the game, but we DIDN'T. They're the better team, and I'm just glad we might get the chance to play them again.

I didn't see/hear it. What did he say?

 

Oklahoma lost to KSU 35-7 in their conf. championship in '03 but still played in the NCG. And got beat, of course, by LSU.

I dind't hear what he said either...what's up?

Couldn't agree more. You win your conference, you deserve a shot. You don't win your conference, go the hell home, shut up and try again next year. No excuses.

To the 'win your conference or shut up' folks...WHAT IF the #1 team was undefeated, the #2 team had a loss only to the #1 team, and the rest of the country had 3+ losses? Just wondering what if...

He's saying that whether he's a Houston fan or not, the argument has been made that unless you contend year in and year out like Boise has done (Even though I'm still not 100% sold on them), you won't get any shot at the NC if you're Houston this year...
