Went for a drive today to take some waterfall pictures, but they were boring so I looked around for something else, and found this under a tree.

I would just buy a body, then get better glass, depends on your budget though. What brand are you going with?

Wont make the official move until tax season but I'm looking at the t3i or 60D. I love the wide angle lenses but idk if a wide angle would be a good starter.

I would spend the extra cash on a 60d, I love mine and the extra features are worth the $$ IMO.

Well I use my 11-16 quite a lot, great lens, super sharp and great colors, and the 2.8 is great for low light, but as your only lens I think it might limit your shots quite a bit. Maybe get that and a 50 1.8, you can pick that up for 100 bucks. That would be a great starter set up!

Currently rocking the Sony a55. I love this camera. The only problem is that I bought it, had about a month to play with it, then deployed for the last 5 months. A couple more weeks and I get to use it again... Can't wait to take a bunch of winter pics. And as soon as I can figure out how to upload some pics I will post some for review.

    Depends what you already have.

First dSLR? Kit. If you've got lenses already, body.

If you have neither and plan on becoming a better photographer, I'd still start with a kit then down the road and once you know more about what you need, get that and off the kit lens(es).

I would recommend getting the major branded lenses. Canon, sigma, tokina, tamron. For a couple of reasons, resale, build quality/ accurate auto focus, and most importantly image quality.

alright here are a couple I took before I left. One macro, then an aperture shot of my dog, and a panoramic shot.
