Idaho BS thread in the PNW

It did look a lot like a mushroom cloud. It wasn't smoke though. It had to be water vapor but I've never seen anything like it before. Here is a closer view.

Ya know, that idea isn't farfetched at all. Mt Saint Helens is just south of that area. Mt Adams is just to the east and Mt Rainier just to the north. In other words, it is geographically centered between three volcanoes.

 

I know exactly what you speak of I'll be in long view in 2 weeks about 20 miles outside of St helens

You can't see it because of small hills in the way but Riffe Lake is in that direction. It could be about where that column of vapor is. Riffe is not a small alpine lake though.

Follow the link. If you zoom out a bit you'll see the lake, If you zoom out a bit more you'll see the three volcanoes. We were about half way between Morton and the lake.

I'm thinking about singing by and checking out their shop when I'm in portland the first week of december. after in install my Icon C/O I'll need a plate bumper so smooth out the ride. The down side of having a Reg cab is that they are so light any spring change and they ride like shit from what I've read

 

Ha! That is why we were there. Today was the last day of late buck. The guy I was with had a tag. We didn't see anything except about 100 or so other guys doing the same thing as us.
