    no axle swap required, to get an elocker you just have to cut a notch out of your housing to fit the locker 3rd in place. We all have 8.4" the 8" was in the trucks before 1st Gen Taco.

    Switching from Open to LSD would not get you much at all. LSD does not lock up like a Locker, it does make both tires spin at the same time for a short period of time.

    now if you could find an elocker axle, you could swap it in. but then you have to have the electric actuator, and wire it up.

    edit, you could just drop in an LSD...not a locker, but it would be better than open....
