I ran these tires for 3 years/42,000 miles and rotated them religiously every 3-4000 miles. They were a great tire. I ran them mostly on the road.

I have duratracs now and they are alot quieter than the Geolandar MT's. Both are very good tires but the duratracs have alot better on road characteristics.

if it where my money i would go with km2's they are proven look very similar to the geolander in appearance minus the gay directional tread pattern and are a better tire imo.

a lot of guys have had nothing but, good things to say about there km2's so i think you would like them as well.

not to mention konabourne had mentioned that his km2's are quieter lol km2's are a very aggressive tire so they would be on the louder side as a matter of fact i would venture to say that if tire roar is even a consideration anything more aggressive than a km2 is going to be probably going to be very loud to you. i don't mind tire noise it's part of running a m/t style tire i actually like it. not super swamper loud but a little tire hum on the free way or around town is cool.

another tire choice could be duratracs i ran those for about a year and they are awesome grip everywhere and are nasty looking but very quiet winter rated and wear well in my experience. my current tire the nitto trail fapper is also pretty nice relatively quiet on the street and another tire that sees a lot of good reviews from guy's on here.

so my vote goes to km2's, duratracs, and nitto trail grapplers. hope this helped.

edit, if they made the duratrac in a 295-70-17 i would have gotten those tires again with out doubt only the nitto and toyo mt's which are also very nice to my knowledge came in that size. there may have been others but, i liked the trail fappers and the price was right.
