Not much. Toyota bed mat, Toyota step bars, tinted windows, Toyota seat covers, Toyota all-weather mats, quart of Wild Turkey in the glove box, KelTec PT3AT in the center console, backseat full of old speeding tickets
I was inspecting the bedliner in my '07 DC when it occured to me that the material seemed to be the same as that used in newer composite pistol frames (Glock, etc). I even retrieved my Springfield Armory XD-40 (polymer frame) and compared the two. Yup, seemed to be the same stuff :fenforcer:

I really like the liner except for the fact that it is soooooooooooooo slippery, even when dry......stuff in the bed just slides al over the place  I was wondering if a spray on liner material would adhere to the composite and provide more traction? Or perhaps some of that non-slip tape material that is applied to concrete steps.

Has anyone here tackled this problem?

    TIA

Our truck came with a rubber bed mat and so I haven't had to experience the slipperiness of the composite material.

    See the accessory listed at
    www.toyota.com
They don't have a good picture of it. I'll have to see if I can find a good one later.

Can't say exactly since I've never drilled into my Glocks but have drilled into my Tacoma bed. Bed is more like fiberglass with powdery residue an splintery fibers. Glocks do melt with a hot soldering iron and is a softer compound in my opinion.

The composite bedliner is SLICK. I picked up some friends at the airpot the other day, the tossed their luggage in the back, and that stuff just slid everywhere on the ride home. Had to bungee it down!

And when you're washing the car and hop in the back to dry the rear windows and roof - HOLD ON!

I think Toy offers a rubber bed mat to solve the problem...but it's probably $200

you think its slippery when washing it, try unloading your gear with snow in the back. I found out the hard way....slipped on my butt, and off the tailgate and in the snow bank....still gave my truck a hug, was not her fault

I have this bed mat. Big help... but works too well sometimes. I loaded up some boxes and could not push them forward. Had to hop up and carry them.

Simple... tie chit down. In a front-end collision, your truck will instantly be in a nose down attitude, possibly catipulting anything loose in the bed through the back window, and maybe on out through the windshield. I've seen medics puke when they roll up on a scene like that.

Most places are cracking down on unsecured loads. It's not just a $100 fine anymore.

Go with the bed mat, the local line-x store would not spray my bed. Not sure if that's a nation-wide policy.

Please, please explain how you came across a 13 yo thread and thought “I should answer the op’s question”
I’m not demeaning your actions in anyway, I’m just curious
Was it Jameson... Jameson has a tendency to do this... or was it Jack? Cause Jack does this as well

Truck bed is SMC. It's a thermoset polyester mix of about 30% resin, 30% filler like calcium carbonate, 39% fiberglass and 10% magic dust.
Your Block and XD are likely glass filled Nylon.

Sure thing, I did mine and now it doesn't slide around in my hand anymore! :D

Back to reality, one of the first things I got for our then-new 2005 Tacoma was a rubber bed mat from the dealer.
One of the best things I got, too. Still in great condition. Having a hard tonneau over it probably helps.

I can’t believe no one has said it yet! It’s not a Bed liner, it’s a composite bed!
