ive been gone away now for a couple weeks.i have struggled with an alcohol addictition since 2003 when my mother passed away, and i almost let myself get so out of control, that i nearly lost everything that i love.i think i have finally started the process of renewing the relationship with my wife and children, but it has been an uphill battle, and i know its going to take 100% effort on my part to prove myself to them, because i cant undo all the hurtful things that i have said and done to them.so if you could please say a little prayer for me today, cause i need it so bad...and if i have ever done or said anything to anybody on here that was wrong or hurtful in anyway....please please forgive me.....James

You got it James. Keep your chin up and remember the reason you're doing it all, and how important that is to you.

Listen man, Yeah, you fucked up. But dwindling on the past is going to get you nowhere. Its time to suck it up, and make a step in the right direction. And prove to the people that you hurt, that those actions were not YOU

Just make sure your friends know you're sorry as well. Saying it does go a long way. Admitting fault is key though and you already acknowledged that. Remember that you need to focus on the long term and that short term struggles/accomplishments are just that... short term. I hope you can turn to someone there for help, advise or just to be an ear. Best of luck to you. Take care.
