Thats an awesome deal! Too late for me, but thats ok.

I might be unlucky in my experiences so far but ive had more then 6 cars with pitted, faded stock wheels. Cars ranging from Chevy to Audi. I have had BBS montreal 2's in a subaru forester and those things were bullet proof. I also had a set of Rial Imola Race 2's on a VW GTI for over 4 years with no pitting on bubbling. How ever my 3 year old Audi A3 stock wheels were pitting and even surface rusting in spots. Im not going to argue with you since you have more experience, just stating my opinion. :)

Btw, Ordered some 4x innovations sliders for 531 bucks shipped. So that brings my total to $1061 total for some new Tires and Sliders. So im pretty happy.

For you, it sounds like a combination of you getting unlucky with your factory wheels (climate/salted roads may affect this), and that you bought way better aftermarket wheels than most people do. May also have to do with the difference in how corrosive the brake dust is from one car to another. Brake dust will destroy your wheels if not cleaned off regularly. Some pads dust more than others, and i'm sure some kinds of dust are more destructive to the finish than others as well.
