    I bet it's more he doesn't want to have to care for others, worry for others, and house others. Yah Rick says they can help him with duties and pull their own weight, but often times guests are a burden.

    I see Herchel's point, there is a sweet spot for a productive group, too many or too little can be more trouble than their worth.
