wheel spacer question

yes. I have 3" spidertrax on my procomp rims.

 

You can, but it can pushthe tire out so far that you can have rubbing on the outside of the tire

 

what do you mean rubbing on the tire? i have 33" yokohamas, with 16" mb rims, and would i need hub centric or lug centric

 

pushing the wheels out can cause other areas to rub. it all really depends on your setup. nevertheless, always try to use hub-centric adapters when you can. spidertrax and all-pro both sell adapters that is both hub and lug centric.

I don't see why you would want wheel spacers if your rims have the correct back spacing... Unless your going for the poser LT look.

 

because my tires rub to much, and the poser LT look? no thats spacers with flared fenders

 

What are you rubbing on? 2" is a lot, you'll rub even more.

 

my UCA LCA, and theres a piece thats the size of a marble thats rubbing on the inside, and the tire guys said it can heat up my front tires and can make them pop if it gets to hot

 

I mean the tire will rub on the fender.

And you always want to buy hub-centric if the wheel you want is offered in a hub-centric (for toyota) version. Otherwise, lug centric will do. You can get some extended-thread lugs to help center the wheel better if you like.

 

the wheel spacers are only for a couple months if that, my tires are almost up and im getting new rims with an off set, what size spacers would you reccommend KPT and its $9 for extended thread lugs so ill get those, i want the stance you have

 

If you're less than 2 months away from new wheels anyway, just get new wheels now. Why spend money on wheel spacers that you're only going to use for a month or two? Doesn't make much sense.

 

So you are currently running stock rims, and you want them to stick out as much as mine? Just making sure we are on the same page here.

Or you have aftermarket rims, then what is the backspacing and width of them?

see thats the problem, they came with the truck so i have no idea, they are off the truck right now, ill go measure them right now

 

There should be something stamped on teh wheel like "16x8jj ET 10" or something like that. Post that code here.

 

i rubbed on the a arm and frame and two inch spacers cured that now i have no issue just because you move the tire does not mean youll rub more it all depends on where the rub is ocuring and when depending on suspension flex turn radius all that jazz

 

well the backspacing is 6" and it looks like the width is 9-10" i couldnt find anything stamped on the rim
