x2. I don't know anything about it but it seems like a gimmick.

idk re the sales. Canon sent some email for their macro lenses. B&H might have something too. I don't get email from Adorama but check there too.

I did, got my T1i dirt cheap refurb'd, still going strong being primarily used in horribly dusty conditions (Offroad racing).

I need to get it cleaned.

Depends. I would be careful buying a body. I'd want to know how many actuations the shutter had. Whether it was scratched, etc. I would probably not buy an inexpensive body this way.

    Lenses? No issue. Same checks.

Well, this is what I have currently, 60D camera body and for lenses a Canon 100L 2.8 macro, Tokina 11-16 2.8 UWA, sigma 30 1.4, sigma 17-50 2.8 OS, Tamron 70-300VC and a 180* fisheye. Also my wife has some of my old lenses.. a Canon 15-85, Canon 100 2.8 macro usm, and another tamron 70-300vc.

I also went thru about 10+ other lenses to, just trying stuff out. I am very happy with all my lenses and I think I'm about set (famous last words) The one thing I'm wanting right now is a faster telephoto lens. like a 300mm 2.8 or something like that, but thats wayyyyyyy too much money.

If you've ever wondered about the relationship between Aperture and Shutter Speed, (and ISO) have a look at this dSLR simulator.

I have something else. a very weird one... a Kenko 180* fisheye, you put it on a sharp prime and it turns it into a fish. They are very rear and shoot manually, cool little lens tho.
