copied from the "other" forum since I dont feel like retyping this.

Well..its finally happened. Im bored with my tacoma.

Thats the reason i got rid of my jeep. I lifted it, locked it and wheeled it. Ran outta stuff to do to it, since it was my DD.

now my tacoma is the same thing..Bored. its my DD so i cant do major surgery

Im out of ideas on what to do. Ive looked at dans hoods, but im not impressed on them for my year.

i ordered some hella lights to change up the front a bit, but they dont fit on the front of my truck( i may look into a mesh grille soon, but i need to find a new grille before I cut mine up)

Its got new 16" goodyears on it, so im not lifting it or lowering it(its 4x4 anyways)

i want to do outside mods..so far ive done small inside stuffwaytogo_82a2dcfcbf91b28330a7f12007d2d5959649daa3.gif

the only thing I can really think of that i really really want, is a hard retracting tonneau, but I dont have the $800-1K to drop on it right now..Plus my soft cover is fine for right nowwaytogo_82a2dcfcbf91b28330a7f12007d2d5959649daa3.gif

Im at a loss as to what to do.

Ive even looked into sliders, but I dont have the $500 for demellos right now.

    ANY ideas/suggestions?

You gotta love your tacoma for what it is, not what you can add to it.

thats the thing..I dont really know what to do. Ive been patiently waiting for my gun permits to come in, so i can get a handgun and tinker with it.

but the good old PD is taking there time.

I just went to Cabelas for a day trip, and of course we took the tacoma..What a boring ride that was.

Sell your CAI and do the deck plate mod. Do the differential breather mod. If you have the locker, do the gray wire mod. There are a lot of cheap things you can do to get you through your rut.

well, im thinking more like if you've already done lots of the small things, and you dont have the money for the 500$ sliders.. maybe you need to save more, get some performance up grades or something?

Dude, I grew up in your town. Go down to IBSP, get yourself a sport fishing permit for your truck, drive onto the beach (AFTER airing your tires down to 15 psi), and do some fishing! Got no fishing gear? Stop by Betty & Nicks in Seaside Park on your way to IBSP and they'll set you up on the cheap.

Get your ass out there and soak up the salt air, and you might even grab yourself a little diner while you're at it!

Sounds like you need to invest in a surfboard then.

At least for me, time at the beach is always time well spent.

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
Do like I did and get into lawnmower racing. Either that or buy an old junker car and fix it up. I did that too. Restoring an old car is very time consuming.
