I randomly watched an episode at the beginning of the first season. Set my DVR to record all of them and couldnt wait for new episodes. Pretty good show. The crazy ass old man with white beard talking a bunch of jibberish is hilarious.

The old man drives me nuts I would just send him into town to keep him out of the way.

I enjoy the show. Was hoping that they would get on the right track, but that Dakota guy bought out the porcupine creek claim. He is a jackwagon!

    We DVR it.....
This is only the 2nd season and its almost too predictable.

The whole fiasco with Fred....taking over... I think that was setup on purpose for the show. Because - I would hope those guys weren't STUPID enough not to have the right paperwork/legal aspects of things to prevent that from happening.

But whatever....it makes TV. We're still watching........

A really good buddy of mine is from where those guys are from. I like the show, but everytime it comes on, he just shakes his head and ignores the fact that they are idiots.

But the reason I like the show is bc they are just like the rest of America, chasing dreams. I hope they do hit it big. (there won't be another season if they don't though).

I want to see these guys make it, but I have a hard time believing in the Hoffman Clan. Right now , I have been more intereste in seeing how the 16 year old does running the Big Nugget mine from his grandfather.

It's gotta be half-way rigged for the show.

    No drama means no viewers......

Sure - I wanna see Fred fall flat on his face and I wanna see the Hoffmans get something.

But honestly? I wanna see Parker (young kid) strike it rich!! He has more 'drive' and more real life 'motivation' (take care of his PopPop).
