I mentioned this book on page 2 or 3 I think. Great book, a quick read, and definitely a worse case scenario. Probably hit home with me since it's based in my part of the country. It basically told me to not take anything for granted. Easy to do since we are all spoiled here with anything we want. One little simple mistake can mean your life or families lives.

If or when something happens to upset your perfect little world...good luck getting the things and help you will need to make it through the situation. What I cannot believe is how naive your post is.

That's ok, you can be part of the sheep. We all have a choice. I choose to be a sheepdog. To each his own.

EDIT: And what is wrong with the tea party? What is wrong with Americans concerned about the direction America is headed? You sound like a "deranged" occupier. http://biggovernment.com/jjmnolte/2011/10/28/occupywallstreet-the-rap-sheet-so-far/

Agree. Do a little google search about what will happen WHEN(and I say when because if things don't change soon this will happen) are currency stops being the worlds reserve currency. Or just read this...

And to think that thread is almost a year old and people still think it is impossible....I personally stock up on food and ammo! I will figure the rest out from there.

I know it's an old post and it was already happening back then. Seems to me it's worse now. There will be riots in the streets when people can't get there handouts anymore. The sheep will be looking for your stuff. Keep stocking and preparing. It's sad it's coming to this but it's better than not being prepared for most situations.

Maybe I'm paranoid...or maybe I'm smart...either way I'm going to continue to prepare for situations beyond normal everyday life. I realized a long time ago that I'm not in control of the world or things that could happen that will effect my life and my families lives. So I try to prepare as best I can. And I feel I still have a long way to go. Obviously not everyone feels the same way. Their choice.

i have a question for all the gun owners (i don't own any yet), what are you guys going to do if the government tries to take your guns and weapons away? i mean, are you going to hide them in a barn somewhere or something? it seems like a very real possibility that the govn't would do something like that.

i have a couple of glocks one for myself and one for my wife that i completely wrote off for our bags.

how does that make me crazy? in an emergency situation everyday people try to eat each other it's amazing how quickly this happens.

that is not going to happen to me or my wife thats all i know :) i think thats all that needs to be said.
