Anyone near Tacoma, WA up for some wheelin'?

Im down to go but I got a PreRunner...anyone willing to fish me out when I get stuck? Also anyone hitting trails this weekend?

I've never been there, but I know how to get there, haha.

I'm gonna PM Mike (Digiratus) and see if he'll tag along with us. He's been there multiple times and would be good guide for us noobs.

Evans closes on December 15.

Evans is a challenge when it's dry/slightly wet. You will get body damage. In the snow you just won't make it. The trails are very narrow/tight turns. I've never managed to get out of Evans unscathed.

 

I might be in for the 26th. What time is everyone meeting? Still at the Safeway in Belfair?

Like I said before, I'm mostly stock except tires, do I need to bring anything else? Tow strap, fire extinguisher, etc?

 

I may be able to make this, I'm just not sure yet what the family weekend plans are yet so I may or may not be available, but hopefully I will. I think Safeway in Belfair is a good meeting spot, that's where we met when I went. It's a good location and they also have gas which is a plus for filling up just before heading out.

As far as recovery gear, I would suggest always having a tow strap with you. Unless you don't already have one, then I'm sure others will. I always carry a tow strap and fire extinguisher in the truck.

I've only been to Tahuya once and you can find mud to get stuck in if you want, but it's also easy to get around without getting into the nasty stuff. You'll be fine in a stock truck with tires. Here's a picture from when I went and you can kind of see that at the time I didn't have good tires, and this was after driving around for awhile. It was obviously dry when I was there, but the rain shouldn't make most of the trails muddy.

 

Alright dudes I just found out Saturday is no good for me (thank the army)..would anyone still be in for that following Sunday maybe??? The Safeway sounds like a good meet up spot.

 

Bummer. I doubt I can get out on Sunday, unless the weather is too shitty to fly.
