Just Sea Foamed!

Just Sea Foamed the taco with 88K. It was pretty easy I just follows the instruction from another member post (don't remember who). I added whole bottle in gas tank, half in crank and just a little through the break boost. The reason I only added a little in the break boost was because my taco sounded like it was about to die. I put the Sea foam in a cup and suck it up through the break boost but as someone said, if you go too fast the motor will die out. So I just skimmed the top but the motor sound like it was going to die. I got scared so I stopped. However the little bit of Sea Foam produced tons of smoke it was like I was at Rave party, when my neighbors drove by the look on their faces was price less, they looked at me like I was crazy! Anyway I changed the oil and put new plugs in and this truck has never drove better, really smooth now. Don't think I'm going to use this again through the intake, but over all my truck is much more responsive.

well for the brake booster your supposed to add 1/4 can, as fast as you can without it dieing, it is the main help because it get's injected straight into the engine.
if you just go bit by bit it wont die right out. if you do it again, in 10k or whatever, try do do 1/4 in the brake booster

 

After you do that are you suppose to turn off the engine or let it run? I read some post in which some members let it sit for a few minutes and then turn the motor over. I just let it run.

 

after you do it.........cut the truck off for about 10 minutes, then crank her back up. and the way i seafoam my truck.....i usually run about half a can thru the brake booster line, then the rest in the tank,never in the oil.

when you are adding to the brake booster line....go slowly.......if you go too fast, it will begin to choke down.....even if it does begin to choke down..........slide the line outta the can and let ithe motor catch back up, then do it again.

 

Is it ever to early to do this? I'm at 27,500 and thought about doing it at the 30,000 DIY service.

 

nah man..................you can do the seafoaming whenever, but its better to do it when you are close to your oil change time. we can seafoam your ride at the meet if you want to.

it'll take about 15 to 20 minutes......we can do that during camp set up time!

 

yea might as well give it a shot! i did it twice first time left it for 5 mins, second time left it for 20. i did gas tank and pcv valve which does the same as brake booster.
i then changed my fuel filter and oil.
