    Got my second buck of the year on sunday in Idaho, I was sick when I saw that I blew off his g4 with one of my shots:(

    Im going to fix it though my cousins a taxidermist. The buck was chasing a doe at 300 yards and I put it on his shoulder and shot and that must have been when I blew his tine off. Then I shot again and he dropped in his tracks! Its been a great year.

    No. I gutted him minutes after he was down and hiked back to my truck. When I got back to retrieve him rigor had started to set in. When I rolled him onto his belly to drain the remaining blood from the chest cavity he was stiff enough to stay semi-upright. If you look close you can see the chest is split open.

    Got these yesterday afternoon in Maryland's shotgun opener. I got up in my climber a little after 1pm and they came through about 10 minutes later. There were five total with the buck in the back. I didn't even see him until I had fired the first three shots. He just kept after the does and I got him at about 75 yards. I was using a 20 gauge H&R Ultra Slug with 3" Lightfields...man those things put a hurtin on a deer.
