I have a 09 & the a/c won't shut off. I've pushed the button in, nothing, it stays on. I've even turned the engine off, turned off the a/c then started the engine & it still stays on. Any ideas what causes this?

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
well if u have the dial turned all the way over to the "MAX A/C" part, then it'll always stay on. move it just up from the complete bottom and u can push the button to turn the A/C on and off

yeah...move it up a notch towards the warm and u should feel it in the knob. once u get above the notch and out of the max a/c, u can turn the a/c on and off at will

I'm not used to the control, you barely can tell when you turn it to max a/c, that was the issue. The weather warmed up here so i turned it down to cool & turned it too far to the left. Thanks for the info. it was very helpful.

It's owners on the forums like you that help newer owners like me get to know their truck better. It saved me a trip to the dealer. I couldn't figure out what it was. Now i know. Again i thank you & others on the forums for help & advice.
