Thinking about doing the Vinyl Flat Black Wrap on my hood...

I've been considering doing the Hood Scoop for a while as the sun glares off of it sometimes right into my eyes when I'm driving. But after seeing this 4Runner I'm thinking about getting the whole hood wrapped. Picture030-2_681774dad45c991ac6df54a244896983f90b69a5.jpg

What do you guys think? I already plan on having the roof done. Here's a current pic of my truck to get an idea..

Also, the vinyl wrap can act as a protection for the hood.

My personal opinion is that doing this is trying to mimic a carbon fiber hood. It sounds like you're trying to justify doing it. If you wanna do it because you thought it looked cool on that 4runner then do it.

    Im getting there......
Hey memario if you wrapped your hood would you consider trading for a scoopless swb hood? Given that an all flat black hood the scoop would hardly be apparent

That's a negative ghostrider... This scoops not going anywhere. Couldn't hurt to ask though.

    Made me chuckle.

I say leave the hood alone, the roof would look good tho.

I think it would take your truck into the "rice" category

Two different looks. The second one is almost like a silver. Looks good though with the blue. The first one is as close as I could get it to a matte black in five minutes. Leaving for tahoe

Plasti-derp it first, see what you think before you spend the $$ to change it.

Funny, last night I got into the thought of vinyl wrap. I want to get my rear bumper and lower valence wrapped in matte black vinyl. I keep tossing the idea of doing my flares.

IMO, I think you should do a portion of the hood like the FJ's rather than the entire thing

    thanks for the pchop.

think I may just do a portion only. I swore I saw someone that sold kits just to cover the hood scoop like on the fjs.. but couldn't find it.
