Check engine light

Shit my check engine light just turned on!!!

It could be your MAF sensor acting up bc of your K&N. I know some people that have had that happen to. Check it out, it may need cleaning.

 

How many miles do you have on your Tacoma? The maintenance light is also programed to turn on when your tuck reaches routine maintenance intervals. For example mine just came on for the 30,000 mile check up. And its come on before too.

 

The check engine light and maintenance light are two different things.

That is every 5,000 miles & it is for your oil changes.

 

Are you in Regina, Saskatchewan? If so, Canadian Taco's are not equipped with the maintenance required light feature. And yes there is a difference between the maint required light and check engine light.

I see. So you do have the maint required light then.

 

Check you gas cap first. A lot of times if you don't put the cap on good it will throw a "Check engine" light.

 

the light turned on rights after i was pulling out f a parking lot into traffic ad it was raining and the tires spun a lil bit then the light was on

 

Okay- There are SO many things that it could be. If you have a scanguage- Read the codes- Otherwise- If you have the time right now- Go to the nearest Autozone or pepboys and have them read the code. Once you know what the codes are...Post them and maybe someone will be able to help you.

Being sport... and you say it came on after wheelspin, it could have something to do with the LSD. Just throwing that out...
