morning all: insider trading is ILLEGAL...BUT; members of congress have been doing it for decades, and it's OK.  :censored::mad: ! martha steward should have been in congress. she wouldn't have done anything wrong.
it sure took a long time to uncover this, wonder why?

Congrats on the 37 years. I am assuming that the 13 other years you were deployed away ffom the states.

Should be a nice day in Maryland today. Got to hit the shower then off to church to help put wreaths on the gravestones in the cemetary.

Nothing major or fancy. Just stuff to make it work better for me. Running boards, seat covers, BakFlip
:) The laws are the same...but the penalties are sure different. If I was convicted of some of the stuff they do I'd probably wind up in jail.

Took me WAY too long to learn this lesson.... from the time I first got married, it was always "if you want it, get it". Once we got divorced and I got stuck with $13,000 of debt     Thank goodness for friends who showed me how to get out of debt. Besides my house and truck I think I paid $1.50 in interest last year.

:woot: congratulations to you and Lynn!!!

I heard that on the news a couple of weeks ago :mad: and then members of congress said when interviewed - that they didn't do that!!!. You have to remember - special rules for special people.... just like the health care.

    Welcome!!!

I made a comment to my dad once - why he hadn't taught me how to save... I really upset him and he said I wish I'd been able to save. :( :(

My one son got into debt when he was in college - due to all the credit card offers, etc, etc. Once he graduated and had to really pay the bills, he realized his mistake and is now debt free (except for his car, student loans and mortgage). His wife is also debt free.
