I thought I'd ask the guys in the know.....I have a 2011 DCLB 4x4 and when I put it in gear for the first time after a start-up I get a strange sound that sounds like the flaps on an airplane being adjusted?? It's short, only does it for a second, sounds like something engaging or disengaging?? It's in the area of the front passenger side wheel area I believe.

    What do you think?? Thanks!

    (I have about 7,500 miles)

I've heard mine make this noise when the 4WD is disengaging.

    no sir.
some seem to be louder than others. If this is the area your hearing it from with the parameters you are speaking of then it's a self check.
