shaving bumps

Every time I shave I get shaving bumps on my neck I use Gillette fusion shaver and cream anyone have the same issue and what have you done to solve it?

 

How are you shaving, direction?

 

I had the same issue when I shaved "down" on the neck....switched to shaving "up" and haven't had them in years.

 

You could also switch back and forth from your shaver to a electric shaver to give your skin a break from time to time.

Wow, never heard of that before but i guess every guys skin is different

 

Make sure you first have your facial hair warmed up either by shaving after a hot shower, or placing a hot wet rag on your face for a few moments.

Then apply beard conditioner or shaving oil to prep your facial hair for shaving.

Use a quality shave cream or shaving paste, shave first with the grain cleaning the blade with hot water frequently, then re-lather and shave against the grain if necessary.

Cleans your face with cold water to tighten your skin, pat dry, then apply an after shave and a quality moisturizer.

I prefer using Jack Black products for shaving which you can pick up at any Nordstrom.

I use a Gillette Fusion pro everyday changing the blade every 3 days, and a straight razor on Sundays. It's just getting expensive to replace the shave cartridges.

I'm planning on switching to a quality Merkur reusable razor. It gives a great shave, and its $30 for the razor, the blades are cheap. A year supply of razor blades is under $20.

Ditch the Fusion. Go with a solid double edge razor. Get a good badger hair brush (I like Best Badger). This will help exfoliate your skin. Some good cream and your set. No need to use pre shave oil IMO.

My setup us a Muhir R89, Edwin Jagger Best Badget hair brush and Avocado oil shaving cream by Taylor of Old Bond St.

I do two passes. Best shave I ever had and my skin is fantastic after. Wife loves it.

I also get the same random bumps, not many but a couple each time, I'll try shaving up and see what happens

 

I'm the same way with electrics. Even the best irritated my skin to no end. I use a double edge razor for my head and my face. New blades are $1.79 for 10 blades so I just use a new one every time I shave, which ideally is every day or two. I've tried creams, gels, and oils and found shaving oils to give the best, closest shave with the least cuts so I would assume the least irritation for those who are prone for it.

 

Is it wrong that I now have and un-expected chub?

 

I have been using a quality double edged razor for over 30 years...and I change blades every six weeks or so. Not that I'm cheap...

I had the same problem and only thing I did different was use conditioner for shaving cream, much smoother now
