Opinions on these rims?

Hey guys,

How do you guys think these rims would look on my 2011 Tacoma DCLB?

I'm not gonna get the tires, just the rims. All opinions appreciated! They are american racing brand I think.

 

They look cool.....Can't go wrong with a "black" wheel.....since that's what just about everyone on TW goes with.

Do you think 500 is expensive for the 5 wheel set?

 

I'd have to see them in person. Do you know how old they are/how many miles on them?

 

No, when I called the guy he was out wheelin' haha. He said he'd call me tomorrow.

They were on an older toyota, and then on his tundra apperantly, I'd guess they are pretty old.. But I can't be sure.

It's tough to find rims anywhere in my area, but I'm in no rush at all.

 

If they fit good on your truck, $500 seems good. Nice looking wheels.

The seller doesn't note the offset. The bolt pattern is correct.

Nope, that's the width of the wheel.

 

Okay, thank you. So do you think I'd need to ask him what the offset is to see if they fit? He said they are pretty close to stock

 

They can't be that close to stock if he was running 34s on them. They would have rubbed like crazy if they were.

Ask him to give you either the offset or the backspacing.

 

Tell him you have to mount the wheels BEFORE you buy to make sure they fit right...there is an issue with the front brake caliper having correct clearance, even with the right offset.

That is usually only an issue with 16" rims, but it wouldn't hurt to double check.

 

The issue is I can't mount them, they won't have tires on them. I was just gonna get the wheels, then tires when I can afford it, and a lift, then put it all together at once.

 

He is saying you should mount the rim without the tire to see if the rims hit the brake calipers in the front.

100 per wheel used is high when u consider u can find alloys brand new for as low as 110 in a lot of places...

If ur heart is set on those specific wheels and they retail for at least 175 per wheel then go for it...
