I bought mine when they first came out. Great trigger pull, 100 % reliable. I havent had any issues at all. 13+1 rounds of .45 is a great combo.

I have the XDM .45 and love it! interchangeable grips so its very comfortable in your hand, nice weight and shoots great! Only con I have is .45 ACP ammo is expensive, but I think its worth it.

I keep trying to trade my 1911 for one. I really want an XD45 Tactical in FDE. 5" plus high capacity plus light rail for the TLR-1 = good bedside/truck gun.

I have a pre-melonite 9mm service that I love. Trigger is sweet. I like the trigger a lot better than my Glock.

I don't have any experience with the .45 but the 9mm is great. Very reliable and accurate. Easy to disassemble and clean. I would love to have the .45.

I don't own one but shot the hell out of a couple. Awesome and reliable gun with all ammo. I couldn't get a failure for shooting for accuracy or pull as fast as you can. General accuracy is impressive as shit too. I like the tactical feel of it compared to the 1911 style but that's just me. The added ability of the rail is a plus. Overall recoil feels the same as other 45s and follow up is quick. I've had experience with the 40 xd for years and beat it to death and back. No complaints about failures. Good drop in replacement barrels out there too if you want/need them. Only complaint overall is Springfield does limit part avaibility. So if you jack up an extractor, it's gotta go back to the factory. But hey, let the pros do some warranty work... Because I do believe it is a lifetime deal.

my brother has one, he likes it.

i shot his once before,.. the gun felt lightweight until you insert the mag full of .45 ACP. ;)

..what i didn't like is the handgrip, ...didn't feel solid in my hands... i think the XDm has a more versatile grip...

I haven't shot one yet, I hope to do so within the next few weeks but I went to a gun show today and held a few in my hands to see what it was like and personally it was awesome the weighting of it was perfect, one of the guys had a "weighted" mag he had removed the entrails and filled it with the weight of a fully loaded .45acp mag with something and once the mag was in it felt great. I loved how the firing pin sticks out the back it makes a great way to check and see if it's cocked or not(safety first always assume it's ready to fire), the fitting of the grip was awesome for me. I can only assume what it's like to fire which is like any other .45acp and it would be great for a CC imo. I've heard nothing but great things about them one day if it shoots as good as it fits me I'll have one of my own.

I've got a Springfield XD 9. Great gun. never had ANY misfires after +1,000 rounds. Even as a Sub Compact, I can keep a tight pattern. SOLID SOLID GUN!!!!

I have shot the 45, but I own two XD 40's. The 3 inch sub compact and the 4 inch with Trijicon night sights. ZERO failure to feed, Zero failure to fire, and only one failure to eject in the 4 inch in at least 2500 rounds. Zero across the board in the sub compact. I prefer the shorter trigger pull on the XD's rather than the glocks country mile trigger.

But the best way to find out if the XD 45 is the best gun for you is to go push a box or 2 of ammo through it. :fenforcer:

    Happy shooting!

Better get on it! I would have bought one today but he wouldn't let me take it to the range down town to shoot it first(on my dime) and he was asking $800.
Edit: Spoke too soon on the price but it still seems that he got a good deal. As I said if it shoots as good as it looks/feels in my hands I'd have no problem paying up to $500 for it.

I've only handled them at stores but have never shot one. I've heard they are a really good weapon and their customer service is second to none. I'm also on thefiringline.com forums where I obtained my information on them.

It was at the Augusta Fairgrounds, what you think? I'm sure that a few people there were.
