Hmm. I thought I remembered saying something about UGA winning the east. Good job for UGA and I hope they take LSU out in the SECCG.

    Excellent use of 'broseph.'

I hear this all the time... I don't believe it. USUALLY the better, higher ranked team wins. It's sometimes close (like last year), but the better team usually wins.

Also, while auburn has won 7 of the last 10 Iron Bowls (thanks, in part, to a coaching carousel and Mike "blank-stare" Shula helping auburn to 6 in a row b/w '02 and '07), Alabama has 3 of the last 4. Also, in 3 of the last four Alabama wins, we've won by 28 (2011), 36 (2008), 24 (2001 - Yes, this is reaching way back). The last auburn win by more than 10 points was in 1969 (49-26). The Tide is turning, pun intended.

If La State lost to Georgia, I almost guarantee they wouldn't drop below #2 in the BCS. They'd still be the best one loss team in the country. I hear that if they lose, it MIGHT affect Alabama's strength of schedule enough to drop us to #3. Still, La State would still be in it, and Bama would still likely be in it, too.

An example in support of my point: Chris Fowler today said, "Latest chapter in the supreme comedy of the BCS system: not a single game on the final Saturday impacts title game matchup. Defend that." i.e. - No matter what happens this weekend, the BCS will be Alabama/La State.

    This

Also, and I'm just curious here, but why do you always put La State intead of simply LSU?

Because I'm an ass, and it bugs their fans.

Same reason I never capitalize auburn.

Haha. I read ya. I've always wondered that. Never noticed the Auburn thing, but always saw ya put La State.

I always thought it was funny that we abbreviate Louisiana Monroe and Louisiana Tech as La-Monroe and La-Tech, but Louisiana State University wasn't abbreviated the same way. It really annoyed a fan on here a year or two ago. Bullzi is pretty cool, though, and hasn't given me crap about it. It's all in fun, really.

The same can be generalized about all college football fans...somewhere out there, there will always be somebody "who can't stand this or that schools fans"...What your personal view is of VT's fans is/are, I could care less....

As for the 2006 UGA and VT game 24-31 is not what I would call a landslide victory.
I had hoped, that VT would have gone into the SEC...given a year or so I think they would have been serious contenders...out of my hands.

Well Va tech is over rated and i know they will beat clemson. If VA tech ever plays Georgia, Georgia is going to stomp a mud hole in Va tech.

I know clemson fans 70 years old and at the beginning of the year they were talking national championship, coach of the year, and now look at the clemson fans they hate their own team.
