I'm still in my rookie yr. here but I've noticed when I look up a reference to help w/ a, let's say, what kind of oil to use, I see these, "and it worked fine". Or it worked fine for me. Is that a conclusive documented reseached answer? I'm not here to complain but maybe looking for clarification I guess. Is there an almighty Taco Guru out there I don't know about that I can rely on w/ just, " I use Dadada and it works fine."?

This is a forum. Not a research facility.
People are telling their real world experience.
Like anything on the net your going to have to take things with a grain of salt.

If you want to use or do something and you have 2 or 3 different approaches to doing it then the research falls on you to decide which way to go.
If you notice in a lot of threads there are a lot of questions asked to clarify something.

There is no all mighty guru. There are a ton of people that have high knowledge in different areas. That's what makes this a high caliber forum.

the final analysis falls on you :)

There is not a single answer for many things.
Example: The best oil- There are so many oils that will work....Some people will observe the effects on mpgs, engine noise, oil pressure and temps, etc. Some people will get oil analysis done. Some people just call it good enuf if the engine doesn't blow up.

You gotta make the decision for yourself most of the time....

I'm a little confused on what sort of answer you were hoping to get from such a general and subjective question.

Very well put and realized this lately but I had to shake things up a bit. This forum is as good as it gets and that does have some gravity.

It was meant to be more of an opinion and I realize their isn't an answer and I wouldn't want one to think that because something works for them that they can't add their $.02. I, as much as anyone am not the least bit shy about an inquiry at the cost of appearing like a complete idiot. nufsaid. I knew when I made this thread I was going to open a can of worms.

I guess I could say the same. Did it religiously for 3 yrs. but I started having some serious problems w/ my daughter wher I had to be w/ her every min. and I never wnt back. I have to say though that it does change you more than anything I've experienced. I'm back to bouncing off the walls, but w/ control.

Have those too.(Jim Martin) Can't push myself as hard but it's better than not doing it all. I do miss the scenery. I was in a class of 35 to 50 students a night that had a ratio of 1 in 15 men to women. That was a perk. I was right next to a univ. Need I say more. Bad. Bad boy. What would Bhudda say? Take care.

lol really! i have guys pming me about retrofitting constantly and i answer every single one i respond to post 99% of the time in a positive manner and so do many others.

sure there are some guy's on here that flame a bit for not searching but, if your asking a question that there is a hundred threads on already it's your fault for not using the search function right?

i have never really done stuff to any of my cars or trucks myself before but with the help of some of the local guy's on tw and the general research and other members i have built a pretty bad ass truck man i love it here.

do i get tired of the "whats the largest size tire i can run on a factory truck" threads hell yes!

i never really had any trouble asking a legit question that i needed help with. if you don't like it here try custom tacos :) you may find there members are more your speed.
