    preparation H? hermorrhoids? wtf...
anyway, go to the fkng doctor, and you putting ointments and burn creams will not help you or the doctor at all...theyre gonna have to remove it and it's gonna be painful and a hassle for whoevers removing the stuff...doubt ointments will do anything on a 3rd degree burn anyway, be smart, see a dr.

the American Medical Association (AMA) Code of Medical Ethics states that "physicians generally should not treat themselves or members of their immediate family

Federal law in the area of prescription writing is limited to controlled substances. These laws require that the prescriber have a bona fide patient-physician relationship with any person for whom he or she prescribes controlled substances. This relationship includes maintenance of a written medical record. State laws, at a minimum, follow the federal statutes. A few states, such as Massachusetts, go a step further and address prescription writing of all drug classes. This means that a doctor may put their license at risk if they were to prescribe a controlled substance to a non-patient.

copy/paste. tell your papa to keep a medical file on you...or he can lose his license. :)

I had a perfect ring around my leg that was a third degree burn from kerosene and a camp fire. I went three days cleaning and hiding it from my parents and finally had to go to the doc and fess up. Good thing I went, two more days and I would have lost circulation to my foot... I didnt read the whole thread but sometimes we have to realise were not superman. Now, who wants to see pics of that burn I had? Haha, ps 3rd degree is the most painful burn 4th burns the nerve endings so theres little pain

Even if it was, he wouldn't have to amputate it. From the pic it looks like 2nd degree at the most, but only at the top.

3rd degree is burnt (charred like a sirloin) flesh.
Most people would be in such pain that a trip to the ER would be automatic.

    2nd degree is blister
1st degree is red, for these home remedy can work as long as care is made to not get infected once blisters burst.

3rd degree burns you have burnt the nerve and usually don't feel much in the burn site, 2nd degree is what hurts.
Edit: Seriously if you've charred a sirloin you have just wasted good meat and may as well feed it to the dogs I prefer my steaks at a nice high 1st degree low 2nd degree burn aka medium rare.
