Front Coil Spacers

I want to put on a 1.5' Coil Spacer to my truck. I hear that a 1" Day Star gives a 2" look. What would be the best product to use for a even level or to have the front to sit a little higher than the rear?

 

Avoid spacer lifts. Bad ride & broken parts

 

why do you want the front to be higher than the rear? (If I may ask)
cause of you add a load to the bed your truck will be very nose high.



but as far as the spacers, all spacers are generally the same...just a hunk of metal that lifts the front of the truck; but we try to steer people away from them because they give a pretty harsh ride and wear out suspension components.

try research some bilstein 5100's for a cheap leveling kit

 

Well i want to make the truck sit level for relatively cheap but effective. I have an extended warranty on the truck and if I did a full body level it would void every bit of the warranty. I asked the dealership about the spacers and they said if anything component on the front end with or without the spacer would be voided due to "wear and tear".

 

If you lift the truck but have a warranty, the dealership still covers you unless they can prove that an aftermarket product has caused a failure.

I'm confused as to the point of that post though; if you asked the dealership about the spacers and they said no (as far as the warranty) are you still interested in leveling the truck?


Even so, look at 5100s rather than spacers.

ok. I see what you are talking about now. I didnt realize they were adjustable. Guess ill just have to look around for the cheapest price.

Be advised that the shocks themselves do not lift.
They are directing you to a "Bilstein Lift" that uses a special shock body that allows the spring seat to be moved up to create lift.

 

I just replaced my spacer lift with the 5100's.

Here is why.

Hit a rock on the way up to the trail, then normal trail stuff. Nothing overboard, as it is my daily driver. I had always wanted to replace the spacers, just needed a reason. I knew I had blown the shock, but had no idea it had broken in two.

The 5100 gave me the same amount of lift, and I will not have to deal with the shocks bottoming out on the trail, which is an issue I had with the spacers.

 

Just wanted to dispel that all-to-common myth that shocks can provide lift.
Didn't see anything that clarified that.
