Yeah, I plan on doing the work myself. I have done a few lift installs, never an IFS lift, but I have done other work on IFS before. I just hope I dont get any vibrations. Vibrations and squeaks are my nemesis.

yeah u wont need instructions, its pretty simple. i did however drop a screw and washer onto my skid plate, so i went to lowes and bought another one. i was not gonna drop the plate over an .89 cent screw and washer....

So this must be what Santa feels like = ]

Hey does anyone have issues with the fit of the 2011+ Tacoma emblem? I just read that there's a slight variation in the hole location.

Does anyone have an issue with bolts or washers for the 2011+ Tacoma? I didn't have the right bolts and washers when I made the first one so I simply took someone's suggestions on size.

Tomorrow I get to leave the emblems for powder coating and pick them up after work.

Installing horns is really easy, all you need is a 5/32" hex key.

    *Open the hood
*With your fingers, gently remove the existing emblem by un-clipping it from the grill
*Slap that bad boy onto your grill, put back the split locking washers onto the bolts and finger-tighten all four bolts to the emblem
*Snugly tighten all four bolts with a 5/32" Allen wrench also know as hex key
*Take your truck for a spin to display your newly installed horns [IMG]

Yes. The side holes didn't fit by a hair. I used the threads of the screws take a tiny bit of grill material off. Also the washers were too big, and the bottom screw was too long and bottomed out. I sound like a bitchy maid. I just hit the hardware store and got smaller washers and a shorter screw.

I had the exactly the same problem here. but i made it fit. as far as the longer screws i used my dremmel tool to chop off about 3/16 inch.

I was only able to use 1 washer (the small one) on the bottom bolt, as the rest were too large. The holes on the left and right side were off (to small) by about 2 mm (rough guess), but I just did the best I could.

I also noticed on my polished horns, there is some black stuff under the clear coating. Maybe left over polish? Its not too noticeable, but for anyone that stops and looks at the horns, they will see it.

I wasent going to say anything at all, but now that the fit issue has been brought up, might as well give my feedback .. they still look badass though!

I can now see my 4x4 switch in the dark.
Got mine in today and was able to get it on my truck while at lunch. One problem if it really is one, was there were no threads in the bottom hole. I figued the other three were plenty to hold it in place.

Here is a quick cell pic

Ya but no worries. Looking close at it I think it was the powder coaters. The other three bolt holes had a ring around them where they mounted something to hold it. The bolt hole on the bottom was missing that.

My guess is. Someone stipped that hole at the coaters and trying to hide what happened by drilling the hole out as its bigger than the bolts you sent.

    I'm happy it looks good.
