Ex Bruin Mike Milbury is a bit ripe scolding Pacioretty for the hit on Letang during the intermission .

 

didn't see the rant, but I have a hard time respecting Milbury's opinion on disciplinary matters considering he once climbed into the stands and beat a fan with his own shoe.

Max Pacioretty has been suspended, without pay, for three games for delivering an illegal hit to the head of Pittsburgh defenseman Kris Letang during a game Saturday night in Montreal, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Pacioretty will forfeit $26,351.34. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

I think that is fair... In regards to Tanger's goal and the play that "should have" been stopped I would also agree with....BUT the professionals didn't pull the whistle out of their ass and blow so who am I to judge them... A Win is a win is a win! Haters gonna hate.

Maybe they were making it even for taking back two goals that Kunitz made. One of which was debatable and clearly pushed in with his arm. But hey if Lucic can run down Miller. What's a little help from a skate or an arm.

Why wasn't Letang sent to the quiet room as per NHL rules ?

 

And Crosby butt ended Foligno , it wasn't an elbow .

I did find that odd that he was able to play in the third period.


With the League's crackdown on head injuries, I would have thought he would have been unable to play the rest of the game.

Apparently from the Trib media and his interview he did go to a guiet room and was evaluated. He is just bad ass! Blood is bait for the Canucks. Too bad I can't tease you again until next year cause the Canucks will be out of the playoffs way before the Pens can beat em again.

 

I would agree with you on that. Also not sure why they didnt call Crosby for the elbow. Not gonna suspend the Face of the NHL when he is only two games back... Bad for ratings... All about the money

If Letang did go to the quiet room , he certainly didn't stay there for the required amount of time , returned to the ice with a bloody jersey , and Price had the puck covered on the winning goal .

 

Like I said, I agree, it was covered.... BUT... Haters gonna hate. I got no whistle or you would have herd me use it.

 

I am younger then dirt.. enlighten me on the bloody jersey thing. I never herd of it. Rule book #? (could be setting my self up for a ish storm but im being honest) & Yes Price is a damn good goalie and had it covered.

Cant wait for the Philly/Rangers 24/7. If it was half as good as last years Pens/Caps... Man I love hockey.

8.3 Blood – A player who is bleeding or who has visible blood on his equipment or body shall be ruled off the ice at the next stoppage of play. Such player shall not be permitted to return to play until the bleeding has been stopped and the cut or abrasion covered (if necessary). It is required that any affected equipment and/or uniform be properly decontaminated or exchanged.
