I have the kit on my truck your talking about but its definitely not a 6indick lift. I think its more 4in. The pics are one my profile. But look at how bad the coils are flexed. If you do get this kit I suggest you spend a lil money and get some coilovers and have a fab shop build you some mounts. I also am running 32/11.5-15 but definitely need the flared fenders to cause it'll make it sit wider too.

The cross-shafts are the two bars that bolt to the coil bucket that's what the Uca pivots on. The picture I showed was taken during install, notice the ball joint isn't even bolted up yet. I cranked it to give me a 6" lift with the spindles. The tc cross shafts were only designed to work with the taquito kit I didn't know that at the time of purchase but managed to run them for a bit. I also removed that stabilizing bar and welded a .120 wall cromoly tube in its place and a plate for extra strength. I then drilled the existing hole to 1/2" and used a heim joint. It was pretty cool but unfortunately don't have pics of that.

ok, got it... Yeah i didn't know tc would sell the cross shafts seperately. Did you see any advantage to running them over what the downy kit came with? Can't really tell but they look a little beffier than what i have (which i think is a stock crossshaft)
I'm not a fan of having to space the crossshafts out from the coil bucket to correct camber but it had to be done.

I had to relocate my stabalizing bar on the driver side, grind down a tab so it wouldn't hit the steering coupler and weld it in closer to the coil bucket. Seems to hold up fine.

I didn't know fabtech made arms for the 5 lug, do you like it better? Pics of susp...?

I get a pretty loud crack/pop from the front susp. while turning in reverse, All my bj's are new so i think i'm just going to go in a replace all my bolts with grade 8 and make sure everything is snug, My cheap ass buddy that installed it when the truck was his used shotty looking hardware thats not long enough and a low grade...

The picture above is when I had the 3" lift from fabtech. It consisted of fabtech Uca coils and shocks. I hated it and installed that Downey kit you have later on. I just wanted to show a picture of my old truck

Tc cross shafts are way beefier for sure but I kinda Mickey moused it to fit. Tc arms are wider so I used three washers on each side to make up the difference

ok cook, thanks for the response, i didn't notice you have a 06 now and no longer have the 1st gen.

Overall i'm reletively happy with this quirky little downy kit, i'm sure it handles better than most coil set ups, obviously not better than an LT coilover but it's aight.

theres a local shop here that will make chromoly cross shafts for the uca for 350 and you wont need to do the washer thing. they would be a stock replacement. ill probably pick some up when i get the money :D

the issue with the 5 lug is mostly the lower ball joint bracket, and the frame bowing in. other than that things are fine. If you want to get into nitty gritty, nothing on the truck is ever strong enough lol!
