Its gonna be very difficult for Okie State to jump Bama in the BCS rankings.
Bama doesn't play, so they can't lose. LSU has beat everyone, so even if they lose the SEC Championship game, its doubtful they'll drop any further than #2.

If OkieState whips OU, maybe, just MAYBE they'll jump Bama, and I'd prefer that, because we already saw LSU beat Bama, but it looks like we're in for a rematch.

The next question is where do the following SEC teams go bowling?
Arkansas - Cap One or Cotton?
Georgia - Cap One or Cotton or Outback?
Sakerlina - Cotton or Outback or what?

I think most Razorback fans prefer the Cotton because we'd rather play a big12 team in Dallas (huge Razorback following in Dallas) during primetime, than a b1G team in Florida at noon.

A rematch is one thing but now some of these "experts" are saying even if UGA beats la state it's still going to be bamma la state for the MNC (mythical national championship).
If that does happen this whole bcs system needs to burn to the ground. Say what you want about the best teams but if that were the deciding factor why play the fucking games at all?

To say Houston doesn't have a chane is bullshit. Did Utah have a chance against bama did Boise have a chance against blOU? Boise beat the sec east champ this year. This is really starting to piss me off. If we don't get a playoff or at least a +1 when this current bcs contract ends I may be done with this shit. Or at least done with caring so much. What's the point of winning a game when the result dsent matter. Just give everyone a ribbon and and call it a season.

Still, that made me want the game to be tomorrow.

If we hadn't quit playing inside the 30s and missed so many field goals and won the game (Yes, lots of ifs), Trent's highlights from the La State game could be almost his entire Heisman highlight film. Trent is a freaking beast. I hope he wins it anyway.

Honestly, I can't stand Alabama, but after the season that Trent Richardson has had he deserves to win the Heisman. Luck is good but hasn't had to play against an SEC defense every week. That man is a friggin' machine!

ok so last week was LS shoes last home game, the senior game, where the seniors are supposed play. well i find it gay that les miles didnt put lee in untill the last quarter with 3 min in the game and didnt even give him a pass play....smh it burns me up

 

Yeah, it pissed off a lot of people. Lee got us to #1 and to not even let him throw a pass in his final home game is messed up

Also, I heard somebody explain it like this... Conference championship games (or formulas, in conferences w/o a game) are in place to determine the best team in the conference. They have nothing to do with the national championship. It is entirely possible for two teams in the same conference to be the best two teams in the country, and they both can't win their conference championship.

The BCS is designed to find the best two, and with few exceptions, it has done so since its inception in 1998. (Auburn fans might disagree about 2004.)

I agree w/ anybody who says some sort of playoff would be better, but the BCS is better than the old system, IMO.

 

Pissed me off big time. And I was not alone in being fairly vocal about it. Makes me wonder what Les has up his sleeve for the next two games with Lee. You can bet he is up to something.

 

I know that those words were floating around the general public back then. As far as Saban? I don't know if he did or not. It's a general rule of thumb - but yes, with exception. If Bama is the second best team in the nation, than by all means, bring it! Though there are solid arguments from Ok State, Houston, and Bama. People will argue for Boise St every year, why not the Cougars??
