Toolbox List

What do y'all have in y'alls toolboxes, or what do you think is important to have in them. So far I have:
a bowsaw, work gloves, 30 feet of rope, allen wrenches, screwdrivers, and a fishing pole.

But what else should I add to my toolbox that would be of good use if an incident ever came up and I needed something

 

you can add a first aid kit and a hammer and you should be good to go
i have golf shoes, tennis rackets, jack, tools and a couple of porn cds

 

cargo straps, extra cold weather clothing (boots, beanies, gloves, a down jacket), assorted tools (E-tool, adjustable wrench, knife) ...and im still waiting for my ARB recovery strap. i want to keep my shotgun in there but i dont know the laws on that so i dont.

 

Guns i believe you have to have a concealed weapon permit, or have it visible...not positive. Although my step-dad has an AK-47 under his back seat, unless its upland bird season then he has an 1187.

Except in a person’s place of abode or fixed place of business, a person shall not carry a concealed weapon without a license to carry a concealed weapon. This shall not apply to any pistol or revolver located in plain view whether it is loaded or unloaded. A firearm may be concealed legally in a motor vehicle so long as the weapon is disassembled or unloaded.


Anyways i have a tow strap, come along, tie downs, and jumper cables in a tote under the canopy...most the rest the stuff i had in the toolbox in my last truck is still in storage.

Duct tape, lineman pliers, tie-wire, 1' & 2' prybar, 3-flashlights, bungee cords, light blanket, rags.

 

all these things are good... i'm also thinking an assorted electrical tools kit sort of thing. idk bout y'all but i seem to always be needing to strip a wire down or something of that nature

 

Hmm a toolbox for a truck? Id say you need...
Rain Jacket, jack, small air compressor incase of flat with no spare, flash light, extra pair of boots/with socks (ya you wouldn't think so but, youll needem one day

 

You think rainboots would work alright? Cause i can put those between the bed and tool box... theres a gap there where ive seen people put rainboots.

 

oh dang, jumper cables are a good thing to have at anytime

 

I recently put together a toolbox for my truck. I have has bags and boxes in the past, but I wasn't happy with them. I finally found exactly what I wanted at sears 2 months ago. Its a craftsman professional series carpenter/plumber tool tote, 18"X8"X7" (approx). It has a ton of pockets of varying sizes inside and out, loops for pliers/ratchets, straps with velcro, pencil holders even a metal clip to hang your tape measure! It is awesome!

As for whats in it, I have a lot.
-small ball peen hammer,
-24 piece 1/4'' SOCKET SET,
-tool pouch with asst. screwdrivers, needlenose pliers, reg pliers, cicuit tester, couple -comb. wrenches.
in the tote,
-vise-grips,
-*3/8'' socket wrench with, 1/2", 9/16", (all the bolts on my snowblowers are either or) -mixed deep sockets,
-spark plug sockets,
-6" ext.
-12 piece nut driver set,
-12 piece comb. wrench set (met. and sae) in a roll,
-compartment box of nuts, bolts, washers.
-19.2v craftsman impact wrench (awesome!)
-keyhole saw,
-leather nail pouch on the tape measure holder (tape measure in it.)
-Linesman pliers,
-wire cutters,
-razor knife,
-carpenters pencil.
-box of phillips head bits,
-*snow blower shear pins,
-matches.
I think thats about it. a lot of that stuff you wont need for the trail. I use most of that stuff a lot though
Also under the seat is,
-recovery strap,
-flash light,
-first aid kit,
-swiss army knife,
-leather gloves,
-winter hat,
-clevis hitch and shackle,
-ratchet straps,
-rope,
-putty knife,
-billy club.
-bungee cords
-black and decker charger/compressor/ac generator
in the truck i always have
-paper towels,
-hand sanitizer,
-maps
a fire extinguisher is prob a goo idea too.
This is a huge list and most of it you might never use. I fit all this stuff and I can assure you the tuck isn't cluttered, its very organized. If ur in so-cal u prob wont need *snow blower shear pins and a wool hat. I like to be ready and help others if I had to. Make your tool kit, box, tote to fit your needs. Sorry I got a little over the top with this one!

I never got my truck camper top, so I had to keep my tool box.
So I got in the box:
200+ piece craftsman laser etched anniversary set
10lb sledge hammer
Green marking spray paint
2 framing hammers, speed square along with my framers pouch
craftsman tool box with random tools
electrical pouch loaded with my klein tools
axe
tool carry bag with a craftsman hammer drill and extra batteries
gloves and a bunch more
'true blue' empire level and cheap plastic home depot level
Tie straps and rope
I can't remember everything else, but there is a lot more.

Believe it or not it is all in my UWS black low profile shallow tool box. It all only goes in one way. I will try to take some pics. To say the least is packed!!
