hey MAC guys. i have a 13” MAC book pro (got it august of last year on tax free weekend) i have snow leopard. and i was wondering what you guys use to edit photos and videos? i tried to get photoshop but it did not want to download right. i would like to edit videos too.

 

I have got an iPad so I don't have to lug my MacBook to teach. I got the dongle to hook up to the PowerPoint projector and it works well. Is their an app that you know of to turn my iPhone into a projector remote? Or is there a way to split the connection and be able to plug into the VGA cable and plug the USB connector for my wireless remote? I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

 

I've got a potentially stupid question. I bought an iphone 4 and went through all the steps to make a ringtone in itunes and it shows up as a ringtone on my computer but when I go to sound settings on the iphone they're not there. How do I find and use the ones I created?

 

IOS 4.2 2nd gen iPod Touch MC. Getting absolute terrible battery life. Lucky to get 4+ hours, I was fine for a week with IOS3. Jailbroken with Green Poison. Any ideas on a way to improve my battery life? Wish I still had my IOS3 SHSH so I could just go back.

 

can you tell me how to get my gtx 570 working with full qe and open under lion?

 

My External Hard Drive won't open now with Lion.... I have all my music, games, and homework on it!!!

It worked fine on my fiances MacBook pro, but since I updated lion myself on my MacBook maybe I messed something up? Anyways I downloaded macfuse and it works again haha

 

it's not the program, it's what you do with it.

I'm pretty sure macs can use Transmission? I have that on my Linux Mint box. Low overhead, yet great features.
-remote GUI interface if you want to access it over the web
-dropbox style processing: create a folder to dump a torrent to, Transmission will automatically pick it up, process, and delete the torrent file
-scheduled bandwidth throttling
-it can run a script on completion of a task

 

I have a new MacBook Pro and can not watch any quicktime video's. Tried to download quicktime for Mac and I believe they wanted alot of money for it. Is there a free way to get it thats legal? My 7 year old powerbook G4 opens these quicktime files just fine without me paying like 100 + dollars!

Still chuckling to myself at what a meathead I am. Who would have thought to look on the apple web site!. In my defense I am sure it sends me to QuickTimes website where there is a charge.

I can't remember how to get to the mac version of "remote desktop connection" like Windows has...need to connect to our estimating program at work. Help!

Does Apple software count (iTunes)?

I just experimented with iTunes Match.

They are upgrading 25k of my songs to 256kpbs AAC for $24.95.

 

There's a few problems here:

-iTunes Match has a $24.95/year subscription fee
-Your songs are streamed from iCloud at 256kbps AAC if they have a match for your song. I assume that you can download it at the upgraded quality as well.

in any case, I could see where you could sign up for one year, get all the cruddy stuff on your comp matched, download the better quality, then dump the service. I don't know if they have anything to prevent you from upgrading pirated songs. If so I'd love to know how they did it from an educational standpoint and not a hacker mindset.

 

My safari and other apps constantly crash upon opening, and my phone keeps freezing and restarting. What is wrong with my iPhone 4?
