Shocks

Looking to put new shocks, all around, on a 00 Tacoma 4 x 4.

Are OEM shocks good, as opposed to the junk MunroeMatic types.

I know Beilsteins are supposedly the best but don't want to spend a fortune.

 

4 x 4, no wheeling at all. Lots of snow in Vermont but that's it.

 

I like Bilsteins, but have also had a set of ProComp ES9000s that I was pretty impressed with and they are only like $35 per shock.

 

bilisteins are great but personally went with the skyjacker nitro 8000's and i love them

 

My truck came factory with the Bilsteins and I hate them with a passion!!! I can't wait till tax time to order the Fabtech lift. I think my truck rides like crap and sometimes when I hit a bump, the rear end feels like it goes air -born. These shocks only have 41,000 miles on them. I think they should be better than what they are.

 

lol hell yeah, are you going with a 4 or 6" lift?

 

I'm gonna go with the 6" performance kit... I just don't know what wheels and tires I'm gonna run yet.

 

what are you planning on doing with it?

 

i went with (35x 12.5 r15) bfg mud terrains and just some black painted steel wheels

 

I don't think you could beat $ 35.00 a shock for the Procomps, but I am pleased with what came from factory.
