I'am currently looking into making a batch of mudflaps for 2nd gen Tacoma. They would bolt to stock mudflap mounts.
My vision is to make a couple different sizes for lifted, lowered, low profile and stock applications. The material would be a black rubber/plastic mix that will withstand chemicals and cold temps but also be very flexible to cater to the offroads guys on here and those off us who go over a speed bump and scrape mudflaps :annoyed:
Let me know if anyone would be interested in something like this and the amount you would pay for a quality set of mudflaps as mentioned.

Here is a update of the prototype:

I'd be interested... the stock ones just break at the seams...

At this point it is just being prototyped but this picture will give you an idea of the material that will be used
These mudflaps are not mine nor are they for a tacoma, I will be using similar material***

AS far as prices go, its all up in the air but I am guessing around 50-100$ for the set

I would be interested in a pair for the front.

Something along the lines of $40 a pair?

That sounds like a good idea. If I didn't already mount some first gen mudflaps I would be all over this.

I would be interrested in them since I'm probably never going to get larger tires. If you came up with something for the guys with oversized tires, I think they might get interrested too.

Very good idea. I will buy once I see pics of final product. I need mudflaps that can be a little wider like my bushwackers. The plastic flaps I bought of ebay are junk; they let a lot of rocks, sand, etc brush all over my truck. Very interested..

This is exactly the thought I had in mind for lifted applications and wide tires. As far as different sizes go, it all depends on what everybody wants. Guys let me know what everybody is interested in.

    Workin' on the tranny ? :p ^^^^

    Good idea, OP.
There's a lot of de-flapped Tacos around due to tire clearance issues, that could benefit from a low profile flap.
If you can show a rig with OEM flap clearance problems and your flap on the same rig with no issues, it will sell itself.
