boiling steak is awesome when it's too cold outside and is extremely easy to do. and it always turns out superduper yummy and tender.

How much do you really want to impress? At 18 I went with coq au vin or chicken cordon bleu to impress the lady. The former is probably the easier of the two as the latter takes quite a bit of prep.

Cooking shows your sensitive / nurturing side. Also, you will never starve!

Baked pre seasoned pork loin is pretty much idiot proof.
(I like the steak idea too)
    Heat, Serve.

Get some of those pre cookd mashed potatos in the platic tub, 4 min in microwave.

    Vegtable,
    and Maybe a salad too.

Remember, don't let her clean up either . You want to really treat her right.

    Spicy Korean Chicken w/ Veges!
    Ingredients
    - 1 or 2 Ginger Cloves
    - 1 or 2 Green Onions
    - Snow Peas or Baby Bok Choy (or any veges you want)
    - 1 lb pre-marinated chicken (Spicy Korean BBQ sauce)
    - Vegetable cooking oil
    - Rice

    Preperation
    - Chop/Mince garlic cloves and set aside.
    - Chop green onions and set aside
    - Wash/clean vegetables and set aside
    - Chicken should already be cut to desired size and marinated for at least 1 hour using the Spicy Korean BBQ sauce.

    Cooking
    - Heat pan with 1 tablespoon of oil
    - When hot, add garlic cloves and cook until it starts to be golden brown
    - Add the marinated chicken into the pan and stir every few minutes until chicken is cooked all around on 75% - 80% heat
    - Chicken should be about 90% cooked before adding snow peas or baby bok choy
    - Mix well to ensure sauce is covering veges and cover pan, reduce heat to 50% - 65% mixing occasionally for about 5 minutes
    - Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with rice!

    I don't understand.

Does she not have grocery's to cook you? If this is is the case, then buy the food you want cooked and let her handle the rest.

If you're really serious about it.... then go take a few cooking classes, maybe even bring her with ya (she'll see it as a bonding experience), then apply what you've learned. You'll make a better dinner, have learned how to do it properly (rather than halfassing your way through it), and the outcome will be that much better.

If you go the steak route, make sure you get a good cut, from a quality butcher shop... never been to Mississippi but if you've got a Whole Foods, they have great meats there (anti-biotic free, sustainable growth practices and all that). Bone-in Rib Eye is a great cut IMO, but if you can find it, a cut of Chateaubriand cooked just right is so much better (hope you have some money over after Black Friday/Cyber Monday though... otherwise your Taco Mod Fund might need to be tapped into).

Don't just bake the potato either.... make some scalloped potatoes or dice em up and bake em with a light mist of olive oil and some fresh rosemary or oregano (or spice of your choice).

As for the asparagus, olive oil, fresh cracked pepper and sea salt, combine in a bag and mix it up for 15 mins, then grill it (get a grill tray if you need to).

I'd also suggest a loaf of bread for munching on beforehand, and a small side salad too.... you're not old enough (legally) to drink otherwise a good red wine would really top it off... So I guess you're left with non-alcoholic drinks - up to you on that.

    Otherwise.....

    This^^^

And just so we're all on the same page with this girl, you should post some pics so we're giving you the right advice ;) I can't believe no one's asked for them already

Fire up the grill man! It's not that hard! Google! Feed em and keep the wine glass filled. Enjoy the dessert! [IMG] (and no - that doesn't mean to drive your truck across sand dunes!)

if your doin bake potato, what i do is:

rinse em good. wrap it in alluminum foil with some olive oil and put in oven at 400 degrees for 1 hour.

from what ive heard (ive never done this) you can microwave the potato (without alluminum foil LOL) for about 10 minutes and then throw it in the oven (wrapped in foil and some olive oil) for about 15 minutes... this cuts some time...

Unless you plan on doing some "use the girl as a serving dish" kinda thing, then those are great, you just have to find somewhere else to post them.
