Well, after work I went to Firestone here at Valley View and Orangethorpe to do some Rotation, Balance and Alignment on my truck. So, first guy said 1.30 hrs. so, waited for 1hr and its done. I went check my truck and I notice 2 little scratches on my Tube step but really big deal cuz I painted anyway. But on the way home. Damn... I think they ruined my alignment. arrrrhhhh...:mad::mad:. I think the mechanic didn't do the Alignment. it's kind of late they are closing. I called them up I told them everything. They want me to go back and I said tomorrow but I'll NEVER ganna go back in there anymore.

What would u guys do when it happened this to u?

Firestone is complete garbage. I bought the same package and yes I went there because it was pulling to the right, I pull it in and he said it would be an hour so I left and came back, truck was in the same spot and the wheels were even in the same position I thought "coinsedence" went in to get the alignment sheet and he said his printer wasn't working it he got it aligned. Drove off and of course it was still pulling to the right, left the shop, drove a mile, and took it right back. I said give me a GD alignment and do it right, they did that time, printer magically started working, and the truck wasn't pulling to the right. The next day I wrote an email,to their corporate office and got my money back. I think it was around $100, now I just go to a shop that does only alignments.

Short story, they didn't give me an alignment, went back, got an alignment, complained to corporate and got a refund.

I'd make them fix it. Then get a coupon or discount on your next set of tires.

Why do you think they ruined the alignment? If it's pulling, it could be a bad tire. Rotating them back where they were would rule that out.

I would check under the truck and look for signs that they adjusted the alignment. Should be obvious if they never touched it. Did they say it needed to be adjusted? Sometimes they check it and it's fine. They should be able to print out the before and after for you to look at.

Edit: I worked in a tire shop one summer. The first thing we did if we got a complaint that the vehicle was pulling to one side, was to switch the left and right front tires with each other. If the pull went the other way, we knew it was a tire issue. Fairly common too.

There's crooks everywhere. At the new car dealers, at the chain auto service stores, at the mom and pop type shops, etc. There's also good people in all these places. Just have to find the right group of people. I live less than a mile from the Toyota dealer, but I don't know the guys who turn the wrenches. I go out of my way to take the truck to an independent shop where I can talk to the actual tech who works on the truck.

I know it's tire. actually, nothing wrong with my alignment before. it's just routine. he didn't do right thing, he rotate, balance it (I guess?) but he did not adjust the alignment that's why it's pulling to the right after. But anyway, I went back there they fix it and gave me $30 card but I'm still call/writing the district manager or Firestone whatever.
