    Hello everyone,

    I have an 06 tacoma and I was wondering what the maximum tire size is with a rough country lift shown here http://www.roughcountry.com/toyota_4wd_tacoma_3.html

    I don't want to do any trimming. I just want to know what I could fit without doing anything to it. Also, how much would the tires stick out of the fender flares? We have laws in P.A. that say they can't stick out more than a couple inches.

    How far the tires will stick out. Stock rims with the sizes I mentioned will fit perfect. Throw on aftermarket rims and now the backspacing might push them out. And fucking with the backspacing will also possibly contribute to rubbing.

    It's a trd. And it has the stock wheels, which i believe are 16x7. What's the widest (in inches) do you think i could get without rubbing? and krazie, i've been looking for some good lifts. i just don't want to pay a couple grand for them. any suggestions?

    Billie 5100. You can dial them up to 2.5" if you want with stock coils.
    I'm partial to OME cause it's what I have on my truck. 2.5"-3" of lift. Front shocks and coils will run you under a grand easy. Probably closer to 800. But I can promise you, if you get blocks, you're going to upgrade to shocks/coils eventually. Why waste the money? Buy the good stuff the first time.
    But no rubbing even with a lift the biggest you can go is a 32" tire. If you go larger chances are very good you'll rub. I do. But I don't care. :p

    Yup. The add-a-leaf gives you the lift in the back as the rear shocks are not height adjustable and do not provide lift.

    Be aware though that some have had issues topping out their rear 5100s offroad. OME N182s are a good, similarly priced alternative for the rear.

    I'm lifting my 07 dbl cab sport this weekend with the Toytec 3" lift and adding 1.25" Sydertrax wheel spacers so I can clear the UCA's w/o swapping out the stock 17" wheels just yet. Can anyone confirm that the BFG AT's 275/70/17 will fit ok? They are special order, not sure why but the 285's are too wide and don't want to settle for the 265 width, what do you think??

    Should be fine. That's a 32" tire. If you have a genuine 3" of lift in the front you'll clear that real easy.

    im confused I thought that the 285 is the heighth? and so a 285/75 is 2 inches higher than the 265/75, and the ratio is the 75 between heighth and width?

    I believe the 285 is 20mm not 2inches wider than the 265 and the 70 is the height/width ratio
