not sure whether or not they're running or not. my assumption is that if the app starts over (as in from the splash/home screen), they were off and not running.

i make it a point to close everything i dont use and only leave phone, email, text messaging, and music running. my battery life is great and i really only have to plug it in if i'm constantly using it. i charged it last night before i went to bed, last time i charged it before then was tuesday night.

No, only certain things are allowed to run in the background. Music, GPS, bluetooth, etc. If something is running in the background you will see an icon in the top info bar indicating so. Triangle for music, arrow for GSP, etc.

Which phone do you have and did you update to iOS 5.0.1? The iPhone 4S has apparently had some battery drain issues and iOS 5.0.1 was supposed to fix that but it sounds like it didn't fix it for everyone. And I think some iPhone 4 people have had battery issues as well with iOS 5. I personally haven't seen any problems with my iPhone 4 though.

Anyone else buy anything cool from Apple yesterday during their Black Friday sale? I was gonna buy an iPad 2.....but I have a baby on the way, so I figured saving the money was a better option haha

... ^^^ ... is it better than an OtterBox ?? The OtterBox has saved (for last 2 years) my 3GS and the phone still looks brand new.

I like it better... I can take photos and video underwater which is cool. The only thing that took a little bit to get used to was the front window.. It doesn't cling to the face of the phone, but over time i got used to it and it doesn't effect the touch screen. The air pocket in the case is actually meant to help protect the phone... Overall i think its been awesome! Comparable to the otter box in shock protection... Superior to otter box in water and dust protection!

Maybe I'm missing it, but I can't figure it out. With the new os on my touch, I can't find repeat... Any ideas? When connected to my truck, it plays the playlist and then stops, and I can't figure out how to get it to repeat.

Woohoo. 4g dropped in the toilet and like many others here I cannot wait 48+ hours to see if placing it in dry rice would have fixed it. Upgraded to 4S

So recently, my phone doesn't charge all the way up to 100%. I'll leave it by my bed and when I wake up its at 95%, sometimes 90, sometimes 85%. And it shows the "plugged in" icon, but not the "charging" icon. I've tried switching cords and no difference. Any ideas?
