you could say the same thing for any company that makes long travel kits...the attacks on engage are kind of childish..if your worried about going to fast and rolling, you shouldnt be going that fast in the first place.

Looks to me the mechanical tubing used failed at it's seam , its gonna happen, bringing it to the guys at engage and they are willing to help , that's good business . I work with metal all day and they mech tubing looks a little thin to me maybe it's time for a part revision . All in all I'd buy engage ! None of there welds failed!

word, but it's never happened like that before... that was just insane...

they declared a state of emergency in Pasadena, and all schools in the area are closed today due to all the road damage...

we got a bunch of uprooted trees over here and they are all really big, old, and heavy...

It was a Mojave wind simulator! I'm thinking of doing the Mojave Road when returning from RATR - Maybe I should rethink that! Those winds are a bitch - I know I don't need to tell you that! :)

I read through all the pages and I have a couple questions for the people running this Engage kit. They aren't related to the failure, but are engineering related.

    1) Do the Engage LCA's have zerks for the bushings built in (I see no grease or zerks in OP's post)?

    2) What material are the bushings?

Related to the issue at hand I kinda wonder why the seam in the bushing tube is in the back and not in the front being held together better by the welds to the LCA - like stock LCA's.

I was wondering the same thing about the seam, and in all honesty I just think they're not paying attention to where & what way the seam is facing while fabricating & welding the arms.which makes occurence like these rare because it would be the one arm that the seam is facing outward instead of inward.

It's harder to find the seam on DOM

Factors contributing to the failure of these arms:

    - material thickness
    - maybe variable material quality
    - some bad luck

I doubt that it was the seam that failed on both arms, more likely lack of material thickness.
