    Between MS13, and various other gangs and the Katrina idiots(who were very dangerous lot) ,, yes, it was that bad.

    In the 13yrs I live there, I had three instances where I had to draw down on assholes who were trying to rob me. Bad neighborhoods were just a stones throw from the really good neighborhoods. Here in Jax you can usually stay clear of the bad neighborhoods. There are more clear boundaries here. Not good boundaries in Houston.
