painting hood

Here is the deal, my dad has a green '11 sport hood and I got a silver streak non scoop Hood and wanna swap em. Would it be cheaper to have both hoods sanded, primered, n repainted in according colors or would I be better off paying the price for a sport Hood already in silver streak. Also if so does anyone know of a cheap reputable dealer I could contact around the NM or southern CO area for a quote. Or would it be better to paint myself.

 

do you have a compressor that does >10 cfm?

 

My uncle has a compressor not sure how big it is tho.

 

I've painted before with a spray gun just dk if I'd do a good enough job considering it be my first Hood painting.
