Shockworks Sliders Ordered....

I ordered a set of Shockworks sliders today. The sales rep said that they have about a 8 week backorder on these so now we wait......

I am just doing some little stuff here and there. LED bulbs, bed D-rings, a complete set of NST Pulleys (shipping out Monday), and a secret surprise under the engine.

I am considering buying an ARB bumper too. I can get a brand new one really cheap, about $500 shipped, so I am mauling it over....

timmer has been waiting on his for a heck of a long time.
Needless to say if I do not see them in March, I will cancel the order and go some place else.
They are a not so good subject to some here.............sorry.

 

I know the lead time is long and I am prepared to wait. I did a lot of research before ordering. Everyone I spoke to who has them says that they are well worth the wait. Thanks for the concern though.

How do they compare to the Slee Sliders?

If those things weren't so damn expensive, I'd get a pair now.

 

Please don't get me wrong, I think they are a great product and have heard many super reports about them. That is why I ordered them, and they may show up today. But I know of people who have waited way longer than me, I didn't mean to rain on your parade. I wish you the best of luck getting them quick. And when mine do show up, you will be one of the first to know....

Yes, they ship out Monday. I can't wait to install theses. I have been getting about a box of stuff a week and my wife finally asked...."honey what is all of this stuff?"

Slee Sliders are nice but man, $950 bucks for sliders is a boat load of money, too much IMHO. I think Shrockworks make top notch sliders at a reasonable price. I have been wheeling with guys who had other brands and I could actually see their sliders flex and bend while traveling through some obstacles. I also saw a picture of someone who bent a well known brand slider. I wanted something solid, something that I would not have to worry about.

 

No worries, it is all good. I can't wait to see some pics of yours. Did you order 2 tube supports or 3?

I did that with my bike last year- Like I said...I'm jealous!!

I like those a lot. But I doubt they sell many of them. Can't imagine a lot of folks are willing to drop over a grand (with shipping) on sliders when there are other good options out there for around half the price. I could be wrong, though.

I guess what I'm wondering, and what's not clear from the shrockworks site, is do those mount similarly to the slee sliders? It appears to me that the way those slee sliders mount is going to be about as good as you can get without actually welding them to your frame. I couldn't justify paying that much for them either when there's many other options out there at half the cost, but they are local for me at least, so I'm curious about their product.

 

The Shrockworks sliders are bolt on. I think the Slee mounting method is a little more in depth but both should work fine. I can't wait for them to arrive.
