    I plan on doing a levelling kit with a 3inch front spacer and a 2 inch rear block. how hard is it to install the front 3 inch spacer? has anyone here done this?

    if its the solid front spacer, all u need to do is pull the coilovers and bolt it straight to the top of said coilover and put it back on the truck. simple hand tools and a jack is all u really need to do this. its much easier than the split spacer where u have to compress the coils to stick part of it in there. just remember to get an alignment afterwards

    they do make 3" spacers. i was running one on my 09 until i saved the cash for the CO's

    oh...and if ur doing a leveling kit and wanted 3" in the front, go for a 1.5" AAL and that will level it out. 2" and 3" blocks in the rear will rake it out

    As far as spacer/leveling kits go I still like this kit due to it not preloading the springs.

    http://truxxx.com/toyota_products/905015.htm

    quote from their website;
    "Ride Quality - The Truxxx kit does not change preload and maintains the stock smooth ride. Other kits get their lift from increasing preload on the spring. This means that the ride is harsher and less compliant. This is a big issue for many consumers"

    thats WAY too much to pay for a spacer lift. i got my 3" spacer and AAL from EZlift for $170-180...and it doesnt preload the springs either

    That kit can be purchased on ebay for $259. Its all about what you want I guess. I do think the ones that do not preload the spring or use polyurethane spacers are the least of all evils concerning leveling kits.

    if you are not going to do any offroading a level kit is doable and does save dollars though.

    Go to EZ-Lift www.extremetrucktoys.com or call 714-251-7632 talk to Hank he is awesome at answering questions plus I believe they deal mainly with Toyotas several pics of 2nd generations. I have had several people drive mine and cannot believe the ride did not change, just a little higher.
    Good luck

    jhodge83: Did the 3inch spacer affect the alignment? I heard by some that they couldnt get the alignment within spec.

    Been looking at the ez lifts also...can i do a 2in without doing the UCA's...or a 2.5...
    Talked to Hank at Ez lift and he said that i could possibly run a 3in with no problems.
    Also, with the TSB done would you recommend the AAL or get a block to make it level front and back?
