    lol o man, i know exactly what that is. My honda s2000 has one too (which is actually getting removed this weekend, now that i have the delete kit for it and my cel won't trigger on). It's a secondary air injection pump. It forces hot air into your cat to warm it up when you first start your truck, it's an emissions thing.

    No it doesn't hold back power, it pumps fresh air into your exhaust system upstream of the cats to help warm them up during cold starts and also helps with oxidization of HC and CO

    Has anyone put on a AEM intake with the heat shield/shroud with this installed yet? If so, do you have any photos? I have a 2012 with it, and took the AEM intake off of my 2010 and want to install it.

    Bad news... doesn't fit.. The size of the air filter is either too big or they need to modified the pipe itself. The heat shield was an issue due to some cooling lines running through the engine compartment.
