Came out yesterday morning to find snow and someone backed into our truck in our apartment parking lot. Got home yesterday and an old lady admitted to hitting it. She supposedly thought she backed into a curb. She was driving a early 2000's Dodge Dakota with a chrome bumper. She hit our truck pretty hard.

Is she one of those people who either don't clean their windows or only little peepholes before driving? Just something that irks me since I've been hit the same way. Least she admitted it.

Or one of those older people who don't bother turning around to see where they are backing up. Let the insurance handle it.

How the hell did she manage to miss the car next to your truck? Where was she backing up from? Either way it sucks. Glad it wasn't worse.

OMG that sounds exactly like my hit and run. But mine was a friend. And my damage was worse but in the same location but passenger side.

The pictures were taken when I got to work. There was nothing parked beside the truck when it happened. I got home last night and there were paint chips where the truck was parked and the lady walked up and told me she hit it.

It was standup of her to come down and tell you.

File insurance or let her pay you cash.

Sh*t happens. It's nice that the lady let you know. I had the same thing happen to me when I was living in an apartment complex. The landlord was horrible about clearing off the snow, and you had to climb about a 30 percent grade to get up to the lot. Needless to say one of my neighbours had his 2wd Ranger slide back into my car trying to get up the hill. Another time I was spinning my tires so bad on my car trying to get up the hill that when the tire finally caught some traction it snapped my CV joint. Apartment life sucks:mad:

Damn I missed the "old lady" part in the beginning and was thinking "MILF hit my truck". Glad she came forward though, she has class.

I got home from work around 4:45 and asked the old lady if she saw anything and she said no. She was in her truck, white Dodge Dakota, and left to pick up her grand daughter. The night it happened, my wife got home around 6:15 and saw a white truck near our truck that was in a hurry. I walked outside around 6:00 and thought the truck driver dropped someone off and they would come back around the same time. So around 6:15 the old lady I asked earlier pulls up so I walk over and start to tell her no one saw anything. She talked to her grand daughter on the way home and her grand daughter told her that she did hit it. The grand daughter told me what happened and she saw everything.
The lady is cookey as hell and doesn't need to drive. She is always hitting curbs when she parks so she might have honestly thought she hit a curb. But, if you hit something you usually look what you hit and she would have to maneuver around our truck to leave. Oh well claim filed on her policy. I work for an insurance company doing estimates and I need a new bedside. Approximately $2100 damage for new bed side and paint.

And in other news, I was driving today in southern Denver in my dad's 97 F250 due to snow. I didn't want to take the Tacoma because I had a bad feeling. So I'm going 25-30 in the left lane and giving everyone plenty of space. A Ford Focus in the right lane keeps speeding up/slowing down. And of course this guy start to lose traction and slams on his brakes. Does a 360 into our lane and we hit. The middle of our bumper hit the drivers fender/front bumper of his car. Yeah, his car is f-ed up pretty bad. Bent bumper on our truck and broken grille. I did all I could to avoid hitting this guys drivers door but I had know where to go. Had my 20 month old daughter and 8 1/2 month pregnant wife with me. I'm really glad I didn't drive the Tacoma and no one was hurt. Not a good week for vehicles.
