Long Travel BS Thread

Isn't Icon the only comp that sells an "ext travel" shock? Im not sure what they're exact length of travel is. Looking at their pics IIRC I thought it was just a longer lower eyelet to compensate for additional lift, like spindles...

I wanted to build one, got plans for it sitting somewhere in my desk, never got to doing it.

 

Its pretty sweet. I have to devote at least 12 hours a week to it during the semester and probably 50+ during winter break, but at least its fun.

Fabrication starts after finals.

for 35k you can pretty much buy a stock 2010 and do that your self and still have cash left over for a sc or something.

 

I want to say 25k is fair ball park figure.

 

honestly , i feel its worth it since a brand new 4x4 goes for over 30K. truck is a little rough around the edges , but its nothing a can of paint cant fix.

dude dosent really know what hes talking about though . whats deavers with link killer kit ?? the link killer shocks are a giant ms deal and its has a dmz kit in the rear as far as i see. also the limit straps are different sizes from left to right side in the rear. so maybe 30K because it wasent meticulously maintained.
but it roughly has over 15,000$ of parts and work into it.
i dont see how you could buy a stock 2010 and have all that work put into it and still have cash leftover. unless you are buying all used parts and have a lower $$$ shop do all the work.

 

Maybe, but this truck has 50k miles, and it's not brand new anymore. Roughly 30k for the truck would still be a decent deal.
