because it would have the proper mounting locations for everything and would save you alot of headaches and time. by using the Traxxas motor mount you will be able to get the proper mesh along various pinion sizes

Snobord you could go with Traxxas's velineron system. It's all plug and play no soldering

I've got a Novak ballistic 6.5 tied to a Novak GTB spectrum ESC driven by 40c 5000mah Thunderpower 2s lipo, it's stupid, maybe not so much for bashing and running up and down the road, but MORE than I can use on the track. I have better lap times with a milder 8.5 Havoc system. But it's just fun.

Just ordered two of these (thanks for the recommendations!), and this charger.

    I'm stoked!

Does it run 2s or 3s? Electric has intsant bottom end, and smooth throttle response. Depends on gearing also.

Fink, I have not read the whole thread, but is this your first lipo packs? One of my buds exclaimed after going to lipos, "hell, this is cutting into my drinking time" cause of the awesome runtimes.

Got to check out the Axial EXO at the PRI show this weekend. It is sweet! Traxxas also had the new 100mph car in display. Sitting inside a plexiglass cage on a scale chassis dyno. You could grab the radio and run it up to 103mph on the dyno. Couldn't see the chassis though. Nice that it can go 100mph but where can you run it? And honestly it looks like a cheap Wal Mart RC car.

I this winter I want to finish my nitro boat project. I was given a Traxxas Nitro Vee for free and I want to get it running. I plan on putting a bigger engine in it.
